Your last meal of the day needs to be consumed at least 3 hours before you go to bed. That gives your body enough time to digest the food and helps in better gut health and metabolic system. And yes, that means No snacking in bed either!

Caffeine & caffeinated products can keep you up all night – so stay off them! Even the smallest shot of coffee can significantly disrupt your sleep – and worse still can have detrimental effects on your functioning throughout the day. If you do happen to consume caffeine 6 hours before you go to bed, then make sure to exercise or take a hot shower because that can help.

Remember listening to lullabies as kids and falling asleep instantly? That’s still a thumb rule when it comes to a good night’s sleep. The adulthood version of a lullaby is to establish a wholesome night-time routine. From light stretching and meditating to journaling, or listening to calming music, there’s a lot you can do to set yourself a relaxing ambience that’ll send you right to a magical dreamland.

Meantime, no screen time!

Ban those devices and screen grabs for at least an hour before you hit the sack and you’ll see that it does wonders for your sleep cycle. Staying away from bright white light can hinder you from getting that shut-eye when you need it the most. So switch off that device and log out well before you hit it!
