FitnessFitness Goals: Easy Workouts to try at home with your partner!

Ever heard of the saying: A couple that sweats together, stays together? Well, we’re ready to hear you put your fitness foot forward and get a quick workout in with your partner, right from the comfort of your home!

Having a fitness partner often helps you stay disciplined to your routine and motivated to pursue all your goals. To start off, all you need is a couple of home workout gear and equipment and you can begin right away!

We’ve wound up a list of 4 couple home workouts for you to try!

1. Push-up Reaches

When you think of push-ups, you often think of it as a solo movement exercise, but what if we told you that you can include your partner and amp up the fun? Put on your favourite Sports Bra and Leggings and get ready to sweat!

Push-ups are an excellent way to work out your chest and triceps, and with a twist, you can even challenge yourself to go the extra mile. Face each other and do your push-up variation, but remember to reach out and tap your partner in between every rep. High-five your partner and keep them motivated as you repeat at least 3 sets of this exercise.

2. Wheel Barrow Walks

This may seem slightly challenging, but what’s a fun workout without a challenge, right? The Wheel Barrow Walks involve one person in a plank position and their partner holding on to their legs. This puts you in a position where you are either engaging your core to walk with your hands or supporting your partner’s body weight as they move. This exercise can definitely work up a sweat, so remember to sport some breezy T-shirts and Shorts to let you move around freely.

3. Hook Squats

In this exercise, you and your partner must both stand facing away from each other, with your backs touching. Now hook both your arms together and let the fun begin! Slowly squat down with your arms still entwined so that your thighs are parallel to the ground and your backs are straight. While this may seem slightly tricky at first, you’ll eventually get the hang of it and then you could even rotate both in a clockwise and then anti-clockwise direction. These hook squats will definitely have you ‘hooked’, but you may want to sport some light and airy outfits like a Sports Bra and Capri Pants, that will ensure breathability while you work out.

4. Planks and Reaches

Some of us may find it quite difficult to hold a plank for one minute, but with this fun couple workout, you’ll at least have a partner to help you stay motivated along the way. Make sure that both you and your partner are in a forward-facing plank position at one arm’s length. In between each rep, you can reach out and high-five each other with opposite hands. This core-body workout will keep you and your partner focused and engage your entire body in a challenging routine. Get the right fit with a Tank Top and Joggers that will keep your body feeling light.

This time around, meet all your fitness goals with your partner in tow. You can start with simple workout routines right from the comfort of your home. All you need to do is make sure that you are consistent and that you continue to engage your entire body to maintain that healthy and fit lifestyle.
