The Spot Jogging:

This is the same as jogging on land, except you’ll be in a pretty swimsuit and trying to jog against the resistance of the water. Remember to move your hands forward and back and also lift your knees as high as you can while you jog. Start slowly and speed it up, and you’ll soon feel the burn!

Otter rolls:

For this exercise, you will need a beach ball. Hug the ball and hold it close to your chest while floating on your back. Keep your legs extended and feet together. Roll over from your left side like an otter spinning in the water. This move engages the shoulders, back, core muscles and legs. Repeat from the right side.

Squat Jumps:

Get into waist-deep water and stand firmly. Place your feet shoulder-width apart and lean back as if you were sitting on a chair. Stop when your knees are bent at a 90-degree angle. Swing your arms up in the air and jump up with full thrust as high as you can out of the water. Land back gently with your knees bent and repeat. This is a great lower-body workout that directly targets the abs, hips, hamstrings and arms.

Standing water push-ups:

Water push-ups build strong arms by working on the chest and shoulder muscles without putting too much stress on the joints. Stand along the edge of the pool and place your hands shoulder-width apart on the ledge. Lean forward slowly push yourself up out of the water and bring yourself down again. Repeat this movement and gradually increase the pace.
