Make your everyday workout sessions a little more effective and a lot more fun by simply sweating it out with your bestie! So, take a look at this routine and get started!

 

‘I’ve always got your back’ ball squats:
All you need for this routine is a Swiss ball and your bestie. Stand back to back with each other, plant your feet firmly on the ground and place the ball between your backs. Now, comes the tough part, squat down for 20 seconds and then resume your standing position – all while keeping the ball steady! Do this for 10 reps at least!

 

Plank while you chat:
We know, it’s no fun exercising with your back turned on your buddy! How about doing some side-by-side planks? Get into position with your forearms parallel to the ground and your legs stretched out. This way you get in a few good moments of gossip while strengthening your body!

 

Even a glute bridge can’t keep you apart:
This one’s easy! Lie down on your back with your legs close together & make sure you and you’re bestie are on opposite sides, with feet touching! Now, lift your hips upward, making an arch of your body and squeeze your glutes. This way you get the support you need and don’t feel awkward about lifting your rear high up! Soon, you and BFF will be twinning with toned abs!

 

You pull-up, I push-up:
Before your exercise routine comes to an end, maximize all that your workout partner has to offer! Get into a standard push-up position, while your buddy stands behind and lifts your legs up by the ankles. Now try to do at least 10 push-ups, while she uses your ankles as an anchor to bend down low, exercise those muscles and stand back up!

 

Skip together:
Wrap up the workout with a few minutes of skipping! Get those colourful ropes out and jump together ‘cos skipping is a great full-body workout. You could even stand facing one another and do a double skipping loop. Just be careful not to trip over and put an end to your bestie-workout plan!

Don’t forget to wear a good sports bra while doing these exercises. ‘Cos rigorous workouts call for supportive bras and supportive friends!
